About the founder
Danyelle Jones, graduated with he bachelors from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio and has a Master’s in Teaching from Columbia College Chicago. She has lived in the city of Chicago for over 15 years working in the fields of social work and education.
For 4 years she supervised teens girls in a group living and independent living; helping them develop skills for self-sufficiency, employment, education, and financial stability; and encouraged their emerging adulthood and independence. Currently Danyelle is a Teacher in Chicago Public Schools where she has been for several years. '
Working with students in these various capacities, she took note that Black and Brown children had a difficult time speaking and thinking positively of themselves. She began creating affirmative coloring sheets for her students and saw their love for the characters that looked like them and the internalization of the positive/affirmative messages.

Why Mindfully?
2020 just happened to be the critical year that Mindfully was brought from being just an idea, into physical products that helped to spread positivity, self-love and hope.

Mindfully hopes to help all children have an awareness of self so that in the moment they can pause, think and make choices that will be beneficial for tomorrow; instead of operating from their emotions only — making decisions that may be detrimental to their health, wellness and futures.

Future Goals
With your support, Mindfully hopes to continue to grow and create a variety of Mindset tools that include digital programs, books and music that assist in fortifying the minds and hearts or Black and Brown youth around the world.
